She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Milford Gilbert and Violet Gilbert (Miller); her husband James; her brothers, Allen, Nathan and Jonathon; and her siblings-in-law, Fred Bruesewitz and Ellen Gilbert.
She is survived by: her children, David Waldner and Darla Tsuji (Sean); her grandchildren, Ryan Anderson of Sioux Falls, Eryka Anderson of Sioux Falls and Kiara Tsuji of Sioux Falls; her siblings, Philip Gilbert (Sharon) of Wisconsin, Neiel Gilbert (Jewel) of Wisconsin, Dale Gilbert (Kathy) of Minnesota, Ruth Bruesewitz and Debbie Gilbert of Wisconsin; and her sisters-in-law, Minnie Gilbert of Minnesota and Alice Gilbert of Michigan.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Open House. A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the LifeChange Church (6300 W 41st St, Sioux Falls, SD 57106). The inurnment was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the South Dakota Veterans Cemetery (25965 477th Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57104).
