She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Caryl and Mary Margaret Smith (Neidert); and her husband Raymond Eddy. She is survived by: her nieces, Kim Vagt (Dennis) of Valley Springs, California and Susan Smith (Frank); her nephew Terry Smith of Minneapolis, Minnesota; her sister-in-law Carla Smith (Jerry) of Sheboygan, Wisconsin.; and her brothers, Donald, Russell and Jerry Smith.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Miller Funeral Home (507 S Main Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57104). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Both devoted their lives to children and later set up a special Scholarship Program through the Sioux Falls Community Foundation.
