He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry DeWit and Frances DeWit (Vanden Bosch); his grandsons, J. Allen DeWitt and Aaron DeWitt; and his siblings, Ruth Halma, Martin DeWit and Lenore Jongerius.
He is survived by: his wife Greta Roozenboom; his children, Loretta Groen (John) of Sioux Falls, Jeffrey (Lila) of Luverne, MN, Char Moss (Neal) of Luverne, MN, Curt (Jody) of Sioux Falls, Daryl (Lori) of Vermillion, SD, Randy (Chere) of Brandon, SD, Mike (Karen) of Sioux Falls, Mark (Melissa) of Sioux Falls, Sherwin (Erika) of Brandon, SD and Christy Aukes (Terry) of Larchwood, IA; and his siblings, Gert Hibma of Washington, Ed DeWit of Inwood, IA, Arlinda Kooiman (Simon) of Hamilton and Ontario. He is also survived by 44 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren.
