Joyce Ann Lerdal Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joyce Ann Lerdal of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 18, 2025 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joyce Ann Lerdal to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Heinemann and Henrietta Heinemann; and her husband Richard Lerdal of Mary's Rectory. She is survived by: her children, Debra Lerdal (Peter Hoeger) of Minneapolis, MN, Donald Lerdal (Darla Drew) of Rapid City, SD, Michael Lerdal (Apidee Julprapa), Patty Van Aartsen (Steve) of Sioux Falls, SD and Peter Lerdal (Jill) of Sioux Falls, SD.; her grandchildren, Nils, Erik, Soren, Drew, Mattie, Benjamin, Michael II, Dane, Jami, Heather, Luke, Nora and Marta; her sisters, Virginia Mergen (Richard) and Ruby Nelson (Richard); and her sisters-in-law, Harriet Lerdal and Chickie Lerdal. She is also survived by her many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the George Boom Funeral Home (3408 E 10th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57103). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hope Lutheran Church (1700 S Cliff Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57105).
