He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Rise and Edith Rise (Johnson). He is survived by: his children, Bill Rise of Sioux Falls, SD and Angela Rise of Sioux Falls, SD; his sisters, Donna Pomerenke (John) of Vancouver, WA and Charleen Sibernagel of Vancouver, WA; and his grandchildren, Heather Rise (James) of Ortonville, MN, Jennifer Wall (Andy) of Parker, SD, Casey Rise (Tayler) of Wilmont, SD, Stephanie Rise of Webster, SD, Miranda Rise of Sioux Falls, SD, Kristen Rise of Sioux Falls, SD and Rhiannon Rise of Sioux Falls, SD. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; and two nieces.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the George Boom Funeral Home (3408 E 10th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57103).
