It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kevin Ray Whalen of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on January 16, 2026, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George "Ray" Whalen (Ray) and Bernadette Whalen; his sister Delores "Dee" Hoime; his brother-in-law Jim Loseth; his aunt Marie Patrice Moriarty; his parents-in-law, Norb and Rita Rosemeyer; his nephew Dr. Matthew Eagles; and his siblings-in-law, Dick Jenniges, Derek Eagles, Jill Kamm and Vicki Vaughan.
He is survived by: his wife Teri Whalen of Sioux Falls, SD; his sister Colleen Roper (Joe) of Durango, CO; his niece Cindy Matter (Rob) of Mesa, AZ; his nephew Chad Loseth (Anita) of Rapid City, SD.; and his siblings-in-law, Susan Prochaska (Bill), Pam Eagles, Julie Jenniges, Tim Hoime, Johnnie Kamm and Tom Vaughan.
In place of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Kevin's name to Feeding America or the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
