He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest and Louise; his siblings, Barbara Reichelt, Betty Erickson, Linda Monahan and Charles "Chuck" Wallenstein; and his sister-in-law Kari Wallenstein.
He is survived by: his children, Sheila Heesch (Wade) and Thomas Wallenstein; his grandchildren, Lauren Schriever (Alex) and Jerod Myott; his siblings, Marilyn Jensen (Dale), Ron Wallenstein, Dianne Rerick (Greg), Karen Wallenstein, Gordon Wallenstein and Vicki Berg (Jeff); and his brothers-in-law, Dave Erickson, Randy Monahan and Randy Reichelt. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the George Boom Funeral Home (3408 E 10th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57103). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
