He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth King and Maida King (Junge). He is survived by: his sons, Ric (Marsha Carey) and LeShon (Mary); his granddaughters, MacKenzie and Brianna; and his sister Sharon Ellis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
