With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leona Lou Gilbert of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on January 31, 2026 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Arlin Lorenzen and Lois Lorenzen; and her granddaughter Grace Gilbert. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Gilbert of Sioux Falls, SD; her children, Jackie Gilbert (Osiris Shakur) of Coon Rapids, MN, Scott Gilbert (Aubrey) of Sioux Falls, SD and Jeffery Gilbert (Barbi Roberts) of Brandon, SD; her grandchildren, Teysia Gilbert-Christion, Carson Gilbert, Bailey Gilbert and Daisy Gilbert; her great grandchildren, Camren Thomas, Kaleah Thomas and Eliyana Selzler; her pet Opie of Sioux Falls, SD; and her siblings, Lon Lorenzen (Kathy) of Prior Lake, MN, Linda Lange (Steven) of Slayton, MN, Loren Lorenzen (Patti) of Onamia, MN, Lynette Brown (Beau) of Brandon, SD and Lloyd Lorenzen (Cindy) of Elk River, MN. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
