With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leslie William Broughton of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, born in Worthing, South Dakota, who passed away on March 27, 2026 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam II and Phyliss Broughton II (DeWitt); his significant other Shirley Laird; his sister Julie; his brother-in-law Lon Wiekeraad; his siblings, Dottie Hitzemann and Cal Broughton; his in-laws, Clarence and Evelyn Olson (Forman); and his siblings-in-law, Donald Olson and Linda Olson.

He is survived by: his children, Bob Laird (Jill) of Sioux Falls, SD and Connie Perez (Gilbert) of Flower Mound, TX; his siblings, Adam Broughton III (Moni), Steven Broughton (Dena), Eli Broughton and Patty Mulder (Kent); his brother-in-law Curt Olson; his great grandchildren, Jordan Laird (Laura) and Jacob Laird (Brittany); his daughters, Aerith, Lilith of Sioux Falls, SD, Gabriela Perez of Flower Mound, TX and Alexis Perez of Flower Mound, TX.; Beckett of Brandon, SD, Isabelle and Jackson. He is also survived by his five grandchildren.
