He is survived by: his wife Karen Werkmeister; his children, Tammy Hawley (Todd) of Armour, SD, Brian Ludwig (Pam) of Sioux Falls, SD, Randy Ludwig (Pam) of Sioux Falls, SD, Cindy Buck of Armour, SD and Douglas Ludwig (Bobbie) of Custer, SD; his brothers, Ronnie Ludwig of Rhinelander, WI, Gordon Ludwig (Delores) of West Bend, WI, Lance Ludwig (Karen) of Dorchester, WI and Greg Ludwig (Betsy) of Ironwood, MI.; his grandchildren, Brandi, Clinton, Tyler, Paige, Quinn, Tucker, Braden, Ashton, Kyle, Kirsten, Katilyn, Madison, Kingsley, Brooke, Jeremiah, Brielle and Willie; and his siblings-in-law, Claire Ludwig of Pahrump, NV, Jan Ludwig of West Bend, WI, Donna Breuer of Armour, SD, Tammie Werkmeister of Armour, SD, Darlene Werkmeister of Gilbert, AZ, Darold Werkmeister of Armour, SD and Allen Werkmeister of Gilbert, AZ. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
