He was predeceased by: his parents, Nils Aspaas and Fayella Aspaas; his wife Barbara Aspaas (Jensen); and his sister Kathryn (Aspaas) Hefty (Ronald Hefty). He is survived by: his children, Maren Aspaas (Lang Davison) and Kyle Aspaas (Wendy); his grandchildren, Sela Patterson (Nick Poplin), Kjerstin Aspaas and Jacob Aspaas; and his great grandchildren, Wren Poplin and Harper Poplin.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church (5500 E 57th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57108). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
