We announce the death of Marcella Jean Fodness of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on June 2, 2026, at the age of 97. Marcella will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Tena Kemink and James Kemink; her husband Francis Fodness; her siblings, Millie Wynberg and Raymond Kemink; and her sons-in-law, James Meader and Richard Graber.
She is survived by: her daughters, Gail Meader-Graber and Julie Anderson (Dennis); and her grandchildren, Jarod Meader, Jeffrey Anderson (Katie), Michael Anderson (Ali) and Joseph Meader (Shannon).
Memorials may be made to Augustana University for an existing education scholarship established by Sally and Francis or the Sioux Falls Veterans Cemetery.
