He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Horn and Mary Horn (Graham); his great grandchild Hadley Horn; and his mother-in-law Esther Clauson. He is survived by: his former wife Josephine Ward; his wife Karen Horn of Sioux Falls, SD; his children, Jeffrey Horn (Holly) of Indianapolis, IN, Brian Horn (Mary) of Sioux Falls, SD, Nancy Janak (David) of Westminster, CO and Matthew Horn (Christina) of Hartford, SD; his grandchildren, Kayree, Lindley, Shayla, Justin, Tasha, Kaitlyn, Ethan, Aubriana and Stella; and his great grandchildren, Karson, Kinsley, Lathan, Trace, Brynn, Bryson, Callen, Jack and Nora.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Westside Lutheran Church (7100 E 26th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57110). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Montie's honor.
