He was predeceased by: his parents, Orvin H. Varud, Sr. and Norma K. Varud (Nelson); his wife Linda Maddox (Johnson); and his sisters, Laurel Ann Varud and Patty Webb.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Spawn of Sioux Falls, SD, Kirk Varud (Sarah Rich) of Menno, SD and Brook Ann Young of Deltona, FL; his grandchildren, Julia Welding, Emily Welding (Larry Ordaz), Christine Nestegaard, Carson Helmer, Shiloe Tramp (Andrew), Devin Rich (Ryan Dykes), Stryder Rich and Fallon Rich; his great grandchildren, Logan, Sophie, Leafa, Jacob, Mila, Kellan, Novella, Roman, Enver and River; and his sisters, Karen Varud and Ann Tonette Varud. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
