She is survived by : her children, John Townsend (Theresa) of Lake, Mary Cink (Tom) of Sioux Falls, Michael Townsend of Sioux Falls, Jim Townsend (Sandra) of Bonney Lake, WA, Bill Townsend (Teresa) of Sioux Falls and Dave Townsend (Terri) of Harrisburg, SD.; and her close friends, Jo Beacom, Jan Reischl, Steve Lynch and Mike Brzica. She is also survived by grandchildren and 12 adored great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Home (507 S Main Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57104). A wake was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, May 10th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Church of St. Mary (2109 S 5th Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57105).

In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to the Jack and Pat Townsend O'Gorman teacher's fund, the Sioux Falls Banquet, or the Adoration Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament at the Cathedral of St. Joseph.
