She was predeceased by: her father Paul Nelson; and her brother-in-law Gene Graves. She is survived by: her mother Marjorie Nelson (Wheatley); her husband Mike; her children, Jeremy and Laura Mattern; her grandchildren, Tori, Laynie, Caden and Shelby; and her siblings, Howard Nelson (Diane) and Dianne Graves.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home (403 N Main St, Canton, SD 57013). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Canton United Methodist Church. A burial was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sd Veterans Cemetery (25965 477th Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57104).
