With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Phil M. Kappen of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Kappen and Rosetta Kappen (Dorsman); his stepfather Milton Gehring; and his father-in-law Ralph Bickner. He is survived by: his wife Diana Kappen; his children, Kelly Kappen (Vince) and Michael Kappen (Rachel); his brothers, Paul Kappen (Julie) and David Gehring (Mariolina); his mother-in-law Maxine Bickner; his uncle Ron Dorsman; and his aunts, Jean Kroeger and Carol Brynjulson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the National Arbor Day Association.
