He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Barenz and Lillian Barenz (Wohlfit); and his former wife Karen Madel. He is survived by: his wife Susan; his siblings, Harold Barenz and Kim Duffy; and his nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Thomas, Kaitlyn, Lily, Anna, John Ryan, Jack Russell Terriers, Chopper and Lizzy.
