She was predeceased by: her husband Darlo Buckwalter; her parents, Ruth Marquardt (Slattery) and Patrick Phillip Slattery; her stepfather Herbert Marquardt; her siblings, Carol Fitzmaurice (Slattery) and Thomas E. Slattery; her son-in-law Barry Halperin; her nephew Larry Fitzmaurice; and her sisters-in-law, Gaylene Slattery (Starr) and Cynthia Slattery (Hauck).
She is survived by: her daughters, Kay Erickson (Chris) of Lakeville, MN, Sandra Halperin of Rock Valley, IA, Carol Pederson of Omaha, NE, Nancy Chouanard (Jim) of St Paul, MN and Laura Quam (Gaylen) of Apple Valley, MN.; her grandchildren, Jed Rayller (Angel), Amy Bennett, Angela Van Bochove (Brad), Michael Neth (Geniene), Caroline Klecker (Brian) and Madeleine Chouanard; and her brothers, Terry Slattery Sioux Falls (Connie Kass) and Bill Marquardt Sioux Falls (Laura).
