It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Bohy of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on April 5, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Bohy and Isla Bohy (Ferguson). He is survived by: his brothers, David, Tom and Max Emerton; his wife Jane Bohy (Diercks); his children, Ryan (Kimberlee) and Allison; his grandchildren, Addison Bohy, Victoria "Tori" Hilt (Ross) and Dylan Tams (Karli); and his great grandchild Myla.

His efforts helped lay the groundwork for what is now the Sanford Health Foundation, which continues to support healthcare initiatives across the system.
