He is survived by: his son Richard Paul Olson Jr.; his grandson Jonathan Olson; and his siblings, Twila Salazar, Constance Olson, Kevin Olson (Ruth), Dina Smith (Rocky), Wanda Hendricks (Derrick), Lori Cook (Richard) and Brigitte Leith (Hayna). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
