He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hood and Elvira Hood (Anderson); his stepfather Ed Wiese; his siblings, Gary Hood and Shirley Smith; and his sister-in-law Carolyn Hood.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Smith; his children, Rhonda Phillips of St. Paul, MN, Robby Phillips of Garner, IA, Brent Spielmann of Sioux Falls and Jay Spielmann of Sioux Falls; and his brothers, Bill Hood (Karen) of Sioux Falls, Don Hood of Loveland, CO, Joel Wiese of Davis, SD and Jim Wiese (Schelley) of Davis, SD. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
