With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rosie Ann Petersen of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 21, 2026 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Coburn and May Rose Coburn; her husband Loren Petersen; her brother Henry; her sisters-in-law, Ann Petersen and Loiuse VanHuvlen; and her niece Maria Coburn Miller.
She is survived by: her daughters, Amy Petersen Myres (Heather Petersen Richarz) and Heather Petersen Richarz; her grandchildren, Mercedes Petersen (Michael Wilkett), Trinity Ecklein (Brenden), Camryn Richarz, Finn Myres, Weston Richarz and Collin Myres; her great grandchildren, Kostas and Ember Wilkett; her siblings, Tom Coburn (Julie), Jim Coburn (Nancy) and Mary Clark (Ed); her nephew Michael Coburn; and her pet Tiffany. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heritage Funeral Home or St. Michael Parish Catholic Church in Sioux Falls, SD.
