With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Royce Gailey of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on December 15, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Newel Gailey and Alice Gailey (Ohlson); his son Col. Keith L. Gailey; his sisters, Juanita Gailey, Renae Bodily (Blaine) and Nolene Hodson (Daryl); and his brothers-in-law, Maynard Soderquist and Wayne Soderquist.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Soderquist; his children, Karah Gailey of Sioux Falls and Justin Gailey of Spring Valley, WI; his daughter-in-law Melissa Gailey (Leist); his grandsons, Nicholas and Joshua Gailey of Wexford, PA; his sisters, Marvetta Saunders (Glen) of Clinton, Utah and Kathleen Painter (Jim) of Riverton, Utah; and his siblings-in-law, Karen Peterson (Soderquist) of New Richmond, WI, De Elander of Maplewood, MN and Stanley Soderquist (Kathleen Johnson) of New Richmond, WI. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
