She was predeceased by: her husband Tony; her son Delwyn; her son-in-law Duane Mellema; and her siblings, Orville VandenBos and Elmira VanZee.
She is survived by: her children, Janice Mellema (Terry Schoening), Wayne BaanHofman (Luann) and Marcia DuFrain. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and her many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Christian Reformed Church (520 Wyoming Ave, Platte, SD 57369). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A prayer was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Platte City Cemetery.
