She was predeceased by: her parents, Reuben Nelson and Annie Nelson (Hegge); her brother Robert Nelson; and her husband Rodney Hakl. She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Peterson (Jeff) of Sioux Falls, Randy Hakl (Ching) of Brandon, Karen Schmidt (Jerry) of Garretson, Todd Hakl (Brenda) of Alcester and Rachel Gunn (Patrick) of Cherokee, IA; and her brothers-in-law, Craig Hakl (Kathy) of San Antonio, TX, Curtis Hakl (Margaret) of Townsville and Queensland. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
