It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Dorothea Brandt of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on January 17, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Adams and Dorothy Adams (Jeglum); and her sister Ellie Schooley. She is survived by: her husband David Brandt; her children, Jonathan Brandt of Sioux Falls, SD and Lesley Cook (Brandt) of Sioux Falls, SD; her grandsons, Finnegan Raney of Brookings, SD and Duncan Raney of Minneapolis, MN; and her siblings-in-law, Craig and Lynn Brandt (Clausen) of Perry, IA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
