It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Marion Schoon of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on November 8, 2025, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Henry F. Tieszen and Jeanette Tieszen; her children, Mark Schoon of Minneapolis, MN and Sue Haggar (Dan) of Sioux Falls, SD; her daughters-in-law, Eva Schoon of Grand Rapids, MI and Ruth Schoon of Wayzata, MN; her grandchildren, Sara Blandford (Leo) of Wellfleet, MA, Erik (Lara) of Wellfleet, MA, Matthew Clarady (Diana) of Rockvale, TN, Jessica Powers (Doug) of Grand Rapids, MI, Rebecca VanderWerf (Scott) of Shoreview, MN, Rachel Schoon of Minneapolis, MN, Reuben Haggar (Ellen), Christina Conway (Sean) of Minneapolis, MN and Michael Haggar (Emily) of Minot, ND; her great grandchildren, Sofi, Isak, Evy, Oren, Brookelynn, Liberty, Ivory, Maverick, Truman, Daniel, Sylvia, Ezra, Reggie and Tahlia; her husband Henry; her son David; and her siblings, Harriet Botelho, Lowell Tieszen and Dale Tieszen.

It was Ruth's wish that memorials be directed to First Reformed Church or personal charitable organizations.
