She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thie and Margaret Thie (Snyder); her mother-in-law Eleanor Scholten; her siblings, Joe Thie, Dean Thie and Thurza Thompson; her nephew Tom Thie; and her great grandchild Dirksten Medenwald.
She is survived by: her husband Duane Crawford; her sons, Russell Crawford (Brenda), Robert Crawford (Machelle) and Scott Crawford (Michele); her grandchildren, Taija Crawford (Mike), Janai Crawford, Bryce Crawford, Sarah Medenwald (Dustin), Kyle Crawford (Kelsey), Megan Crawford (Cory), Nick Crawford and Hayley Crawford; her great grandchildren, Alexis Peterson (Dillon), Dylan Medenwald, Levi Medenwald, Kaden Crawford, Nolan Crawford, Everly Crawford, Kayne Buchanan and Kynzie Buchanan; her great great grandchildren, Ryker Huls and Sutton Peterson; her brother Neil Thie (Linda); and her pet Draco. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the George Boom Funeral Home (3408 E 10th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57103). A memorial service was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Sherry requested donations to the American Cancer Society and Avera Dialysis Center.
