She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Melvin Jacobson and Sylvia Jacobson (Ness); her former husband John Ford; her close friend Marty Edmundson of Sioux Falls, SD; her siblings, Kathy Jackson (Stan) of Sioux Falls, SD and Rick Jacobson (Kim) of Brandon, SD; her stepmother Kasey Jacobson of Sioux Falls, SD.; her nieces and nephews, Tera Rae Regnier (Matthew), Jennifer Jacobson, Joshua Jacobson (Danelle) and Dustin Hansen (Cali); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Jackson, Nixon, Alice, Kingsly, Jovien, Braydon, Archer and Ty; her pets, Joey and Sophie; her friends, Sharon Hayes and Barb Anfinson-Hayes; her grandparents, Arthur, Emma Ness, Adolph and Maddie Jacobson; Melvin.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the George Boom Funeral Home (3408 E 10th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57103). During COVID she sewed dozens of adults and children sized cloth masks, which she passed out to family, friends and local hospitals.
