He was predeceased by: his parents, James Koppman and Vera Koppman (Drawz) of Sioux Falls; and his grandparents, Harry, Dora Koppman of Clear Lake, SD, Delmar and Mildred Drawz of Sioux Falls.

He is survived by: his children, Josh Boehrns (Betsy), Stephanie Boehrns, Sonya Lerseth (Brent) and Greg Koppman (Daneen); his grandchildren, Rachel Cordell (Travis), Caleb Koppman (Jess Banik) and Daniel Koppman; his daughter Debbie Koppman; his grandchildren, Corey Szymanski, Jessica Koppman and Ernie Johnson; his daughter Rita Bellamy; his grandchildren, Mike Johnson, Michelle Suluki, Destiny Boutchee, Dynasty Boutchee, Dyna Boutchee and Johnnie Boutchee; his son Lowell Koppman (Connie); and his grandchild Chris Koppman. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
