Tammara Dawn King Obituary
Sioux Falls, SD ~ Tammara Dawn King, age 46, after a courageous fight against cancer, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Ava's House by Sanford Health in Sioux Falls. Her family will be present to greet friends for a memorial visitation from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory. Her celebration of life will be 2:00 PM on Friday, January 24, 2025 also at the funeral home.
Tammara Dawn Geppert was born on June 3, 1978 in Chamberlain, SD to William A. and Diane (Zeman) Geppert. She was raised and received her education in Chamberlain, SD. While in high school, Tammara met Tyrone Keith King. Tammara and Tyrone were united in marriage in 2000.
Tammara worked as a manager at Subway for many years and was currently working as an associate at Kwik Star in Sioux Falls.
Tammara was gifted with another chance in life, and was born to sobriety in October of 2012. Being clean and sober for over 12 years, leading N.A. meetings and helping others find their way. In addition to helping others, Tammara opened her home and found herself caring for many ferrets over the years. She enjoyed collecting gnomies, the humor of "the Grinch" and watching movies; especially the ones starring Johnny Depp. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and was a proud grandmother.
Grateful for having shared her life are her six children, Tiara (Joe) Croal, Taylor (Michael) Massey, Tyra (Sam) Noldner, Titus (fiancé, Victoria Niezwaag) King, Taya King and Tomus King, all of Sioux Falls, SD; four grandchildren, Fransis, Jayston & Kaizley Croal and Lincoln Massey; grandmother, Carole Douville of Chamberlain, SD; two sisters, Kim (Brent) Fluke, Yankton, SD and Brandi Ramey of Sioux Falls, SD; special family, Delores Stoll, Chamberlain, SD; many other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, William Geppert; foster parents, David and Diane Reents; ex-husband, Tyrone King; and special family, Lyal Stoll.
