It is with sadness that the passing of Verna Ione Seely of Sioux Falls, South Dakota is shared. Verna, born on November 18, 1928, passed away on October 11, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Eastman and Eliza Eastman (Brooks); her husband Marvin E. Seely; her children, Kevin Seely and Valerie Merry; and her daughter-in-law Ilene Seely.
She is survived by: her children, Timothy Seely of Smithfield, VA, Roberta Jacobson (Barry) of Sioux Falls and Tanya Carlson (Brad) of Tea, SD; her grandchildren, Jason Seely (Melody), Angelia Batten (Bill), Dustin Carlson, Ashton Parker (Colten), Derek Carlson (Miriam), Benjamin Merry (Audrey) and Alexandra Merry; her great grandchildren, Austin, Asher Seely, Katelynn Batten, Russell Carlson, Ellis Merry, Tristan, Camden, Gavin, Vivian "Vivi" Parker, Sophia, Freya, Lilia Carlson and Jay Conaway; her son-in-law Wade Merry of Sioux Falls; and her friends, Cherry Wintersteen Ferrie, Betty Wintersteen Twiss and Tom Wintersteen.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Home (507 S Main Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57104). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
