It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Viola Mae Serreyn of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on April 22, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Viola leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Frank and Hazel Marshall (Schneider); her husband Leo Serreyn; her brothers, Dale Marshall (Jean) and Glenn Marshall; and her brother-in-law LaMoyne Brandsma.
She is survived by: her sister Twyla Brandsma of Sioux Falls, SD; and her sister-in-law Frances Marshall of Timber Lake, SD..
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Asbury United Methodist Church or Sanford Hospice in Viola's name.
