Wayne Allen Shjegstad Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wayne Allen Shjegstad of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 7, 2025 at the age of 79. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his daughters, Beth Bornhoft (Chad) of Sioux Falls, SD, Sara Peterson (Brad) of Sioux Falls, SD and Brinn Watson (Derek) of Maple Grove, MN; his grandchildren, Miranda Bornhoft, Meghan (Isaac), Fischer, Noah Peterson, Matthew Peterson and Lily Peterson (Luke Watson); his sisters, Cheryl Wildermuth (Paul) of Dell Rapids and Diane Wilke (Tim) of Sherman; and his siblings-in-law, Melissa Diane Shjegstad of Guam and Mitch Adams of Dell Rapids.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the George Boom Funeral Home (3408 E 10th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57103). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
