He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Wieczorek and Evelyn Wieczorek; his siblings, LeRon, Ken, Bev and Kim; his wife Dorothy Kerkvliet; and his stepsiblings, Delmar Plamp and Darlene Paulson.

He is survived by: his children, Mark Wieczorek (Tamara), Al Wieczorek (Anne), Angela Openhowski (Thaddeus) and Kim Page (Mike); his grandchildren, Lindsay Gibbins (Andrew), Mary Wiese (Alex), Jon Geffre (Kayla), Jen Geffre (Sid), Rachael Openhowski and Teddy Openhowski; his stepsister Marilyn Hohn; and his extended family, Jim Paulson, Claire Tieszen (Ray), Helen Honomichl, Francis Kerkvliet (Robin) and Shirley Kerkvliet. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
