She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Vassar and Eliza Vassar (Willard); her children, Anna Marie Williams-Cane, Renae Rose Williams Bird and Michael Dale James; her siblings, Opal Vassar and Everette Vassar; and her grandsons, Everette, Wesley and Jacob.
She is survived by: her children, John, Brian James, Teresa James, Marcia Rederth (Ted) and Susan Gerry (Jeff); and her siblings, Mary Tsosie, Leroy Vassar, Judy DeNoyer, Jerry Vassar, Pete Vassar, Bonnie Vassar, Peggy Vassar, Kathy Jo Vassar and Jeremy Willard. She is also survived by 31 grandkids and all her great grandkids.
A wake will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Calvary Episcopal Cathedral (500 S Main Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57104). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
