She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Cleveland and Hazel Cleveland (Knapp). She is survived by: her husband Sherman E. Thovson Sr.; her sons, Sherman Jr. of Rapid City, David (Kathy) of Rapid City, Rick (Gena) of Rapid City and James (Bonnie) of Rapid City; and her siblings, Dale Cleveland, Calvin Cleveland (Linda), Charles Cleveland (Lorraine) and Gloria Echols. She is also survived by six grandchildren, four great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Faith Lutheran Church (17 Indiana St, Rapid City, SD 57701). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
