He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Elena Ruth Bird (Owen); his grandchild Dakota Alliance Church; his wife Devola Bird (Haug); his children, Lenora Haug, Jalynn Biddell and Jacob Haug; his grandchildren, Lawson Goodbird, Aslak Haug, Axle Haug, Graciella Haug, Rodrigo Aragon and Neftali Haug; his sisters, Caroline Bird, Frances Bird and Lindy Bird; his aunts and uncles, Michael Owen, Joe Owen, Delilah Owen and Sylvia Owen; his father Lincoln "Buddy" Beeman Bird Sr.; his siblings, Buddy Bird Sr., Joseph Bird and Valerie Bird; his grandparents, Samuel Bird and Laura Bird (Renville); his aunts and uncles, Kenneth Bird, Curtis Bird (Milton Bird), Lily Mae Lawrence, Thelma Lawrence, Karen Heminger and Beverly Bird; his grandparents, Remus Owen and Caroline Owen (GoodVoice); his uncle Edward Jake Owen; his aunt Beverly Owen Bird; his nephew Edward Bird; and also, Deserick Jake Bird, Elliot Bird, Justina Bird, Norelle Bird, Alyssa, Danielle, Rainelle Brown, Elena Brown, Jasmine Crawford, Shennoah Seaboy, Gabrielle Bird of Alexx, Frank Barse, Troy Barse, Patrick Deutsch Jr. and Candida Heminger. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
