He is survived by : his father Benjamin Nelson; his wife Thomasina Knight of Sisseton, SD; his children, Michael Knight Jr. of Oglala, SD, Alexander Knight of Oglala, SD, Eathan Renville of Sisseton, SD, Apollos Renville of Sisseton, SD, Anpo To Win Knight of Oglala, SD, Ashanti Knight of Sisseton, SD, Amelia Knight of Oglala, SD, Josie Knight of Oglala, SD, Lucille Knight of Oglala, SD, Jada Renville of Sisseton, SD and Leshiyah High Hawk of Gordon, NE; his grandchildren, Joshua Michael Knight, Kimimila Tasawin Chavez, Troy and Joseceito Chavez; his brother Charlie Waters Jr. of Manderson, SD; and his pet Hibachi.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Tribal Community Center, Agency Village (12554 BIA Highway 711, Agency Village, SD 57262).
