He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Evenson and Annie Evenson (Vassen); his siblings, Merle Evenson, Edward Evenson (Lois) and Annette Anderson (Andy); his stepmother Leta Evenson; his stepbrother Dwight Johnson; and his niece Charity Evenson.

He is survived by: his children, Mike and Sherilyn; his wife June Clott; his son Greg Evenson (Maryann); his grandchildren, Graysen, Lawren, Garett of Sisseton, SD, Mike Evenson (Wendy), Amelia of Meridian, ID, Sherilyn Evenson of Meridian, ID, Sebastian Hansig of Germany and Kie Suzekane of Japan; his brothers, Glen Evenson (Kitty) of Summit, SD, Jim Evenson (Emilyn) of Sisseton, SD, Dennis Evenson (Jane) of Clear Lake, SD and Keith Evenson (Kathy) of Zimmerman, MN; his stepsister Joyce Simonson of Sisseton, SD; and his sister-in-law Ruth Evenson of Loveland, CO. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
