It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell Veflin (Sisseton, South Dakota), who passed away on May 24, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Knute Veflin and Violet Veflin (Martenson); his brothers, Arlen and Jerry; and his siblings-in-law, Alice Haus, Jerry Nissen and Jeff Kluge.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Nissen of Sisseton; his children, Stephanie Schaunaman (Jake) of Sisseton, Tim Veflin (Robin) of Sisseton and Aaron Veflin (Kate Wismer) of Britton; his grandchildren, Logan (Elise), Carter, Taylor, Caleb, Olivia, Liza and Grace (Trey); his great grandchild Evie; and his brothers, Rodney Veflin (Betty) of Sisseton, Doug Veflin (Addy) of Sisseton and Alan Veflin (Jodi) of Sisseton.
