She was predeceased by: her daughter Pamela Hammond; her parents, Albert Ellermeier and Fern Ellermeier; and her brother Marlyn Ellermeier. She is survived by: her husband Eugene Tjarks of Sioux Falls, SD; her children, Dr. Mary Tjarks of Iowa City, IA, Dr. Brian Tjarks (Susan) of Mitchell, SD and Kathy Fitch (Bob) of Hawarden, IA; her son-in-law Dale Hammond of Kimberly, ID; her grandchildren, David Hammond, Christine Kunz (Adam), Lori Gillette (Chris), Erik Shewmaker (Ashley), Katie Hazen (Brian), Joel Tjarks (Lindsay) and Cole Fitch; her great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Lilly, Liv, Lane, Madelyn, Zachary, Benjamin, Michael, Holly and Robert; her great great grandchild Harley; and her sister Carol Wimpy of Boerne Glen, TX.
