With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alan E. Glodt of Spearfish, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 29, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Earl Glodt and Marian Glodt (Holzwarth) of Gettysburg, SD; his significant other Betty Pitz of Spearfish; his children, Jason Alan Glodt (Michelle) of Pierre, SD and Kari Rene Glodt of Rapid City, SD; his grandchildren, Carson Earl Glodt, Allison Lee "Little Al" Glodt and Talan Clark "Tal" Johnson; his stepgrandchildren, Grant and Audrey Johnson; his siblings, Cheryl Jongeling (Gary) of Watertown, SD, Karla Walker (Steve) of New Brighton, MN, Jeff Glodt (Judy) of Englewood, CO and Kelly Glodt (Sue) of Pierre, SD; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Toennies (Jerry) of Cresbard, SD, John Pitz and Donna Knutson.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the United Methodist Church (101 E Garfield Ave, Gettysburg, SD 57442). A memorial service was held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
The family requests contributions be made to the Shriner's Children Hospital.
