She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgie Abney (Montgomery) and Vern Abney; her brother Bob Abney; and her siblings-in-law, Shirley Abney and Cecil Sanders of Independence.

She is survived by: her son Joe of Madison, Wisconsin; her siblings, Shirley Sanders, Larry (Jean) of Wentzville, Gerald of Sedalia and Richard (Janice) of Hughesville, Missouri; her sister-in-law Jane Roach (Bob) of Boonville, Missouri.; and her friends, Tim Abney, Dan Abney, Mark Abney, Diann Sanders, Deanna Zizza, Elliot Schulz and Lennis Larson of Spearfish.

In lieu of flowers, her family suggests donations to either the Spearfish United Methodist Church or P.E.O. Chapter N.
