With sadness, we share the passing of Doug Mehlhaff in Spearfish, South Dakota. Doug, born on January 9, 1938 in Kaylor, South Dakota, passed away on October 3, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Frey; his children, Troy (Lisa) and Melanie Hinson (Jerry); his grandchildren, Tyler, Evan, Collin and Mackenzie; and his great grandchildren, Camille, Jordan, Olivia, Louis, Connor, Annabelle, Luke and Avery.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the South Park United Church of Christ (2201 3rd St, Rapid City, SD 57701).

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to the Monument Hospice House.
