It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James R. Eddy of Spearfish, South Dakota, who passed away on July 28, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James R. Eddy to pay them a last tribute.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, John Eddy and Laura Eddy (Zimmerman); his daughter Kathy Eddy; his daughter-in-law Robin Eddy; his son Robert Eddy (Renae); his grandchildren, Travis Eddy (Lita), Trenton Eddy (CC), Ryan Eddy (Maddy), Ansley and Tanner Eddy; his sisters, Joan Ziemann and Kay Simons; his sister-in-law Mary Ann Eddy; his brother Larry Eddy (Irene); his wife Shirley; his son Todd Eddy; his siblings, Lorraine Sprague, Cleo Rosander, John Eddy, Jr. and Marshall Eddy; and his uncle Ralph. He was also cherished by 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces/nephews, special cousins, and cherished friends.

A memorial has been established to the United Church of Christ.
