He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Rochlitz and Lillie Rochlitz (Holtorf); his wife Margaret (Peggy); his brothers, Maurice and Alfred; his foster brother R. C. Mack; his sister Christine White; and his siblings-in-law, Howard White and Gwen Rochlitz.

He is survived by: his children, Ryan Rochlitz of Julesburg, CO and Megan Rochlitz-Carter (Bob) of Spearfish, SD; his grandchildren, Macala Carter (Rick Pohlman) of Lincoln, NE, Monique Lyons (Matt) of San Diego, CA, Niki Dolan (Jason) of Sidney, NE, Richard E. Rochlitz (Lindsay) of Julesburg and Thai Nimmo (Morgan) of Sidney, NE; his great grandchildren, Gavin Gonzalez, Ensley Hoffschneider of Lincoln, NE, Matt Corne, Kane Dolan, Arianna Nimmo, Beaux Nimmo, Logan Nimmo of Sidney, NE and Ryland Rochlitz of Julesburg, CO; and his great-nephew Deacon Eric Parker. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

All memorial contributions will be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Julesburg.
