With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Tomasita Talsma (Springfield, South Dakota), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 12, 2026 at the age of 82. She was predeceased by: her husband Pete Talsma; her parents, Estanislao Jacquez and Enriqueta Jacquez; her sisters, Viola Virag, Eva Jacquez and Elva Jacquez; her nephew Matthew Virag; and her nieces, Lisa Benavidez and Nancy Garcia.
She is survived by: her children, Christine Legarda (Erick) and Ray Talsma (Kim); her grandchildren, Kenny Talsma (Theresa) and Candi Zahradka; her great grandchildren, Angel, Peter, Tessa, Annie Talsma, Britton, Braylee and Briella Knowles; and her sisters, Mellie Benavidez and Mary Ann Garcia. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
